It’s definitely an unpopular view in the industry that I work for.
Yesterday I read an article about how the EU wanted to sever ties with a certain country but couldn’t not because of economic impact (because Europe still apparently has the strongest economic status across the globe) but because of diplomatic works that have been in place for decades. Those four (I daresay major) EU states who are all for ditching said country will have to hold their tongue for now. In any case, how do you sever ties with any country while serving host to the headquarters of (all?) international organizations?
Of course this fictional statement was meant to have happened in the 60’s but as history has already proven how it likes to repeat itself, you can’t really help but compare it with current events. ..Guess we’re all fooked, eh?
